Begging is our only wisdom 구걸은 우리의 유일한 지혜이다

 

[The Christian doctrine //that there is no ‘salvation’ /by works /done according to the moral law]

is a fact of daily experience.

Back or on we must go.

But there is no going on simply by our own efforts.

If the new Self, the new Will, does not come /at His own good pleasure /to be born in us,

we cannot produce Him /synthetically.

The price of Christ is something, in a way, much easier than moral effort – it is to want Him. 

It is true that the wanting itself would be beyond our power but for one fact. 

The world is so built that, to help us desert our own satisfactions, they desert us.

War and trouble and finally old age take /from us /one by one [all those things //that the natural Self hoped for /at its setting out]. Begging is our only wisdom,

Even on those terms the Mercy will receive us.

The Christian doctrine 기독인 교리는 that there is no ‘salvation’ 구원이 부재한다는 by works 노역에 의한

done 행해진 according to the moral law 도덕법/율법에 의거하여

is 이다 a fact 한 사실 of daily experience 일상적 경험의.

Back 뒤로나 or on 계속하여 we 우리는 must go 가야 한다.

But 그러나 there is 존재하지 않는다 no going on 진행하기는 simply 단순히 by our own 우리 자신의 efforts 노력에 의하여.

If 만약 the new Self 새 사람이나, the new Will 새로운 의지가, does not come 오지 않는다면

at His own 그분 자신의 good 선하신 pleasure 즐거움에서 to be born 생성되기 위하여 in us 우리 안에,

we 우리는 cannot produce 생산할 수 없다 Him 그분을 synthetically 합성적으로.

 

* 새 마음과 새 영은 예수님께서 주시는 것이지 우리가 노력하여 합성수지 만들듯 만들어 낼 수 없는게 사실이나

간디처럼 금식금욕으로 최선의 경지 - 인간 최고봉은 오르겠지만 하늘 - 천국에는 못 오르는 자기 의만 드높인다

The price of Christ 그리스도께 관련된 댓가는 is something 어떤 것이다, in a way 어떻게 보면,

much easier 한층 더 쉬운 than moral effort 도덕적 노력보다

– it 그건 is to want 원하기이다 Him 그분을.

It 그건 is true 사실이다 that 그것 the wanting itself 원함 자체는 would be 일 것이다 beyond our power 우리의 능력 밖

but 그러나 for one fact 하나의 사실이다.

 

* 물질에 사로잡혀 장님된 인간이 영이신 예수님을 원하고 찾기는 몰상식에 가까우니 상상도 불가이기에

예수님을 찾기는커녕 그리스도인을 핍박하려던 바울처럼 예수님의 강압적 은혜로 조우가 일어나야 한다

 

The world 세상은 is so 그렇게 built 지어졌다 that 그 결과, to help 돕기 위해 us 우리가 desert 유기하게 our own 우리 자신의  satisfactions 만족을, they 그들이 desert 유기하게 us 우리를.

War 전쟁과 and trouble 골칫거리와 and finally 최후엔 old age 늙은 나이가 take 뺏어간다 from us 우리로부터

one by one 하나하나씩 all those things 그건 모든 것들을 that 그건 the natural Self 본능적 자신이 hoped for 희망했던

at its setting out 시작 시점에.

 

* 우리가 만족을 포기하도록 만족이 먼저 우리는 포기여 세상에 만족이란 것이 없도록 만들어져서

만족을 못 찾은 우리에게서 희망을 하나둘씩 앗아가는 것이 이 세상 현실이고 인간현실인 것이요

도덕적으로 완벽을 기하여 율법적 구원의 조건을 만족시키지 못하니 구원의 확신도 없는 현실이다

 

Begging 구걸은 is our 우리의 only 유일한 wisdom 지혜이고,

and want 결핍은 in the end 마지막에서의  makes 만든다 it 그것을 easier 더 쉽세 for us 우리가 to be beggars 거지되기에.

Even on those terms 그런 조건하에서조차 the Mercy 자비는 will receive 받아줄 것이다 us 우리를.

 

* 비록 자존심은 상하지만 결핍은 구걸을 가능하게 만들어 결핍이 채워질 수 있으므로 좋은 것인데

물질이나 정신적 만족이 우리를 유기하여 만족이 부재한 상황은 예수님께 인도하는 몽학선생이고

시편 23편의 shall not want 부족함이 없으리로다는 건 예수님께서 목자이실 때만 가능한 만족이다
