Romans 14:8 삶과 죽음에 관한 상반된 두 현실

New Living Translation

If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord.
 So whether we live or die, we belong /to the Lord.

If we live, we live /for the Lord; and if we die, we die /for the Lord.

우리는 서로에게 아니고 하나님께 설명할 책임이 있다이나

댓쉬로 추가된 내용은 "삶에서부터 죽음 끝까지 그리고 그 사이의 모든 것'인데

문맥과는 별개의 내용이기에 댓쉬로 추가함

 

NLT는 하나님을 존중하는 삶을 살고 죽기도 한다 하고

NIV는 하나님을 위해 살기도 죽기도 한다 하는데

MESSAGE는

삶과 죽음 그리고 그 사이에 일어난 모든 일/행동에 대한 것을

사람에게 아닌 하나님께 설명해야 할 책임이 있다고 번역한다

 

이러한 삶과 죽음에 대한 개념은 불신/무신세상 어디에서도 들을 수 없고

하나님께서 존재하심을 증거 한 기록인 성경에서만 들을 수 있는데

이는 하나님의 영광을 위해 우리를 창조하셨기 때문이고

죽음 이후에는 심판이 기다리고 있기 때문이다

 

그러나 솔직히 말해서 정말로 하나님을 위해서 산다고 말하기 어려운 건

신자나 불신자를 막론하고 selfish 이기적인 nature 본성 때문에

자기 뜻/의지나 정서에 너무나도 열심 내어 충실하다 보니

하나님의 뜻과 정서에는 무관심 내지는 의식부재에

천지차이 별소리로 무시하거나 적용불가를 선언하는데

그게 우리만의 현실에 너무나도 딱 맞아떨어지는 이론결론이기 때문이다

 

허나 이 세상에는 우리만의 현실만 존재하는 것은 아니고

이 세상을 창조하신 창조주 '하나님의 현실'도 존재하며

우리의 현실을 overide 뒤엎는 것이 하나님의 현실인 것은

우리의 탄생과 죽음 그리고 그 가운데 일어난 모든 일이

전적으로 내 기획/기안으로 시작하여 성사된 것이 아닌 때문이고

더욱이 죽음은 누구나 계획하지 않고 부인하고 무시하더라도 필경 오는바

before too late 더 늦기 전에,  죽음이 속수무책으로 홀연히 임하기 전에

이제껏 생각지도 듣지도 못해 왔던 하나님의 현실 --

창조하시고 섭리하시고 그대로 이루실 진짜현실/영적현실을 의식인식하여

그 현실에서의 삶과 죽음에 대한 진짜개념을 깊이 고찰할 필요가 있다 하겠다
