A Prayer for Forgiveness 용서를 구하는 기도

I said /to myself, “I will watch [what I do]
and not sin /in what I say.
I will hold my tongue
when the ungodly are around me.”

I 저는 said 말했습니다 /to myself 저 자신에게,

“I 나는 will watch 주의할 것이다 [what 그것을 I 내가 do 하는]
and not sin 죄짓지 않을 것이다 /in what 그것에서 I 내가 say 말하는.

when 그때 the ungodly 불경한 자들이 are 있을 때 around me 내 주위에.”

—not even speaking of good things—

[the turmoil within me] grew worse.

[the turmoil 그 소란은 within me 내 안에 있는] grew 커졌습니다 worse 더 나쁘게.

2 I kept [completely silent],
but it did no good,
and I hurt /even worse.

the hotter I got, igniting a fire of words:

and the more I thought,
the more it burned,
until at last I said:

Remind [me] [that my days are numbered]

will be 될 것을].

—[how 얼마나 fleeting 빠르게 지나는] [my life 저의 삶이] is 상태인지를/빠르게 지나는지를.

 

* 4 형식 remind [me] [how brief  my time on earth  will be]

* 직목인 의문사절  [how brief]  [my time on earth]  [will be], 의문사는 부사역할도 겸함 (의문사=접속사=부사)

* 직목인 명사절 [that my days are numbered]

* 앰대시로 추가된 직목인 의문사절 —[how fleeting] [my life] is.

* 죽을 날짜는 정해져 있지만 그때는 아무도 모르기에 항상 죽을 준비가 되어있지 않으면

  졸지에 준비도 없인 인생의 대단원을 맞이하면서도 맞이한 줄도 모르고 사라질거라 황당하므로

  오늘을 살아도 후회 없이 졸지에 닥쳐올 죽음에 준비되어 있어야 진정한 산자라 보는데

  십자가의 대속의 죽음을 믿음으로 맛본 신자면 제2의 죽음 준비는 새 삶을 삶으로 한다 생각됨

You have made [my life] [no longer /than the width of my hand].
My entire lifetime is just a moment to you;
at best, [each of us] is but a breath.”

You 당신께서는 have made 만드셨습니다 [my life 저의 삶을] [no longer 더 길지 않게

/than the width 폭 보다도 of my hand 손의].
My entire lifetime 저의 전체 인생은 is just 단지 a moment 한 순간입니다 to you 당신께;
at best 최대치로 쳐도, [each of us 우리 각자는] is but 단지 a breath 일개 호흡에 불과합니다.”

We are merely moving shadows,
and [all our busy rushing] ends /in nothing.
We heap up [wealth], not knowing who will spend it.
