2 Kings 6:16-17 The Message (MSG)

 

He said, “Don’t worry about it—there are more on our side than on their side.”
Then Elisha prayed, “O God, open his eyes and let him see.”
The eyes of the young man were opened and he saw.

A wonder!

The whole mountainside /full of horses and chariots of fire /surrounding Elisha!

이 세상에는 보이는 세상과 보이지 않는 세상 두 세상이 존재하는데

하나는 우리의 five senses 오감으로 인식되는 물질적인 세계고

다른 하나는 spiritual eye 영적인 눈/감각으로만 볼 수 있는 영의 세계다

 

물론 오감으로도 인식할 수 없는 물질적인 세계도 존재하여

눈 뜨나 안 뜨나 장님노릇 하기는 매 한 가지인 경우로

전기나 공기, 가스, 원자분자, 최근 유행하는 코로나 바이러스 등등

오감이 아닌 기계를 통해서만 그들의 존재가 확인되긴 하지만

맨눈으로 못 보니 마치 없는 것 처럼 인식되지 못하나

없다고 생각한다 믿는다 해서 사라질 존재는 아니고 또한 없는 것이고

눈에 보이지 않지만 눈에 보이는 것과 한치 차이도 없이

우리의 삶에 지대한 영향을 끼친다는게 사실이다

 

우리가 지금 격고 있는 코로나 바이러스 같은 경우

눈에 뵈지도 않지만 It can't be seen with our naked eyes.

수많은 사람들을 감염시키고 죽기까지 만드니

수많은 사람들이 공포에 떨며

이 공포의 바이러스에 감염되지 않으려 누구나 전전긍긍하나

눈에 뵈지 않아 절대단속은 불가하다 사료되니

마치 아람 군대에 둘러 싸여 속수무책으로

죽기만 기대릴 수밖에 없다 판단되어 전전긍긍하던 게하시처럼

죽음의 사자인 바이러스에 둘러 쌓인 공포의 현실에 속수무책으로 떠는 분들이시여

 

오늘 아람 군대 같은 바이러스 숫자 보다도

더 많은 하나님의 천사가 둘러싸고 있다는 엘리사의 말로 위로를 받고

엘리사의 기도처럼 우리의 눈도 떠지게 기도하여 영적 장님눈을 떠서

우리가 보던 our reality 우리만의 현실 밖에는

God's reality 하나님의 현실이 존재한다는 엄연한 사실을 믿고 알고

영적 현실을 보아 걱정을 잠재우시기를 기원합니다

 

29-32 

“What I’m trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting

so you can respond to God’s giving.

[People //who don’t know God and the way () he works] fuss over these things,

but you know both God and how he works.

Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions.

You’ll find () all your everyday human concerns will be met.

Don’t be afraid of missing out.

You’re my dearest friends!

The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself.

 

Lord, please open our eyes to see Your reality, the true reality,

and help us live in it by faith like the righteous who are to live by faith in You. Amen.
