1 This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, 

and from our brother Sosthenes.

chosen 선택된 by the will of God 하나님의 뜻에 의해 to be an apostle 사도가 되라고 of Christ Jesus 예수 그리스도의,

2 I am writing to God’s church in Corinth, to you //who have been called by God [to be his own holy people]. 

He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus,

 just as he did for all people everywhere //who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.

 

2  I 나는 am writing 쓰고 있다 to God’s church 하나님의 교회들에게 in Corinth 고린도에 있는,

to you 너희들에게 //who have been called 불려진/소명받은 by God 하나님에 의하여

to be 되라고 his own holy people 그분 자신의 거룩한 백성들이. 

 

He 그분께서는 made 만드셨다 you 너희를 holy 거룩한 상태로 by means 방식에 의해서 of Christ Jesus 그리스도 예수님의,

 just as 똑같이 he 그분께서 did 하신 for all people 모든 사람을 위해 everywhere 모든 곳의 //who 그들 모두 call on 부른

the name 이름을 of our Lord Jesus Christ 예수 그리스도의, their Lord and ours 그들과 우리의 주인이신.

인간은 거룩의 반대편에 있는 기만이나 교만, 죄성본성, 부패집착 등의 노예이기 때문인데 오직 예수님만 하실 수 있다

 

3 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

you 너희에게 grace 은혜와 and peace 평강을.

* 사도 바울은 재물, 장수, 건강, 출세 등의 육신적/세상적인 복을 빌지 않고 하나님의 복인 은혜와 평강을 기원했는데

바울보다 더 잘났다고 허풍치는 현대의  신 사도들은 처지주제에 지나치는 축복 사기로 신자들의 돈을 갈취착복한다

 

4 I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts () he has given you, 

now that you belong to Christ Jesus.

and for the gracious gifts 고마우신 선물로 인해 (that) 그건 he 그분께서 has given 주신 you 너희에게,

stop [thanking God] 하나님께 감사하기를 멈추다, remember doing 한 일을 기억하다

stop /to thank God 하나님께 감사하려고 멈추다,  remember to do   할 일을 기억하다

동명사의 경우 과거나 현재진행 특성상 과거나 현제 시점에서 감사하고 '있는' 일을 그만둘 수 있으나

부정사는 잠재/미래 특성상 아직 하지도 않은 일을 멈출 수 없기에 감사하려고 멈추다는 의미가 된다

 

5 Through him, God has enriched your church /in every way

—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge.

 

5 Through him 그분을 통해서, God 하나님께서는 has enriched 풍족하게 하셨다 your church 너희 교회를

in every way 여러 면에서

—with all of your eloquent words 너희 모든 달변과 and all of your knowledge 너희 모든 지식으로.

* 조리 있는 달변과 참 지식은 하나님께서 주시는데 성경을 읽는 누구나 유식해지는 건 참 진리를 배우기 때문이며

평면지구를 믿던 시절에 콜럼버스는 성경에 지구가 둥글다는 말씀을 믿어 수평선 너머 신대륙을 발견할 수 있었고

하늘을 휘장처럼 펼치신 말씀은 우주의 팽창을 의미하고  바울만 가본 삼층천 경험은 다중 우주론을 무효화한다

 

6 This confirms that [what I told you about Christ] is true.

 

6 This 이것은 confirms 확인한다 that절 내용을

즉 [what 그것이 I 내가 told 말한 you 너희에게 about Christ 그리스도에 대해] is true 사실이다는 것.

이러한 예수님의 역사가 믿는 신자들에게 나타나므로 상식상은 믿을 수 없는 예수님을 믿고 로마제국도 무너뜨렸다

 

7 Now you have [every spiritual gift () you need] /as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

7 Now 이제 you 너희는 have 가졌다 every 모든 spiritual 영적인 gift 선물을 (that) 그건 you 너희가 need 필요한

/as you 너희가 eagerly 간절히 wait 기다릴 때 for the return 재림을 of our Lord Jesus Christ 주 예수 그리스도의.

신자에게 "믿음대로 돼라" 하신 말씀의 핵심 역시도 믿음의 대상이신 예수님께서 인정하시고 "돼라" 하신데 있다

하지만 내가 나 된 건 내 믿음이 강해서 된 걸로 착각하고 '주십시요!' 하며 강요하는 믿음의 기도는 무례무식이다

 

9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do [what he says], 

and he has invited you /into partnership /with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

 

9 God 하나님께서 will do 하실 것이다 this 이것을,

for 왜냐면 he 그분은 is faithful 신실하시기에 to do 하시는데 what he says 말씀하신 그것을, 

and he 그분은 has invited 초청하셨다 you 당신을 into partnership 동업으로 with his Son 그분의 아들과 함께,

Jesus Christ our Lord 예수 그리스도 우리 주님.

자연계에는 기적같은 현상이 널려 있기에 과학자라도 믿어야 일상이 가능하므로 이성적 믿음도 알고 보면 맹신이고

뻥치니 무에서 온갖 것들이 유로 나와 수백억 년 걸쳐 진화되었다 하는데 백 년도 못 사는 처지에 억대를 관찰 못하니

고고한 과학자들의 가설을 사실로 맹신할 수밖에 달리 도리가 없고 안 믿으면 출교퇴교 당하니 과학종교도 맹신교다

(과학자들은 진화론 증명을 위해 수백억 년 관찰실험을 못하지만 창조론은 피조물도 창조/창작하기에 즉시 증명된다)

10 I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, 

by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. 

Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

 

10 I 나는 appeal 탄원한다 to you 너희에게, dear brothers and sisters 귀한 형제자매여,

by the authority 권한으로 of our Lord Jesus Christ 우리의 주 예수 그리스도의,

to live 살라고 in harmony 조화롭게/화합하여 with each other 서로 간에. 

Let 하게 하라 there be 존재하지 않게 no divisions 아무런 분열이 in the church 교회 안에서.

Rather 오히려, be of one mind 한 마음이 돼라, united 연합되어서 in thought 생각과 and purpose 목적에서.

11 For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters.

have told 말했다 me 나에게 about your quarrels 너희의 언쟁에 대해, my dear brothers and sisters 내 귀한 형제자매여.

말로는 새 빛이라고 하나 스스로 빛낼 발광체가 아니고 다른 사람을 말을 반사하는 거요 잿 빛을 새 빛으로 착색해 보나

십리도 못 가 발병날 헌 낯빛을 새 빛인양 불꽃 놀이하다가 꺼질 태풍 앞의 촛불이라 불 꺼지면 재로될 낯빛이 증명하니

새 빛 헌 빛 갈라쳐서 쌈질 말고 촛불별빛 다 끌 태양 빛 같은 참 빛이신 예수님 빛을 받아 반사해야 다른 빛조차 화합된다

12 Some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul.” 

Others are saying, “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Peter, ” or “I follow only Christ.”

 

12 Some of you 너희의 몇몇은 are saying 말한다, “I 나는 am a follower 추종자/제자라고 of Paul 바울의.” 

Others 다른 이들은 are saying 말한다, “I 나는 follow 따른다 Apollos 아폴로를,”

or “I 나는 follow 따른다 Peter 베드로를, ” or “I 나는 follow 따른다 only 오직 Christ 그리스도만.”

13 Has Christ been divided into factions?

Was I, Paul, crucified for you? 

Were any of you baptized in the name of Paul? Of course not!

 

13 Has Christ 그리스도께서 been divided 분리되셨냐 into factions 파벌로? 

Was I 나, Paul 바울이, crucified 십자가에서 죽었냐 for you 너희를 위해? 

Were any of you 너희 중 누구라도 baptized 세례 받았었냐 in the name of Paul 바울의 이름으로?

Of course not 물론 아니다!

 

* a faction is by definition a group whose interests are in conflict with the general good.

17 For Christ didn’t send [me] [to baptize], but to preach the Good News

—and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power.

but 그러나 to preach 전파하라고 보내셨다 the Good News 복음을

18 The message of the cross is foolish to those //who are headed for destruction! 

But [we //who are being saved] know () it is the very power of God.

for destruction 파멸로!

20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? 

God has made [the wisdom of this world] [look foolish].

and the world’s 세상의 brilliant 천재적인 debaters 변론가들을?

  하나님께서 이 반항적이고 절망적인 세상의 지혜를 수로 치는 그들을 멍청하게 만드시지 않으셨냐?

21 Since [God in his wisdom] saw to it [that the world would never know him /through human wisdom], 

he has used our foolish preaching /to save those who believe.

He made it so that the world could not even begin [to comprehend Him] /through its own style of wisdom;

하나님께서는 이 세상이 그것의 지혜의 방식을 통해 이해하기 조차 시작할 수 없게 만드셨다
 in fact, God took [immense pleasure] /in rescuing people of faith 믿음의 사람들을 구원하시는데서 엄청난 기쁨을 받으셨다

22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. 

And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom.

26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters,

 that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy /when God called you.

27 Instead, God chose things () the world considers foolish /in order to shame those //who think () they are wise.

30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. 

Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us /from sin.

For our benefit 우리의 유익을 위해 God 하나님께서 made 만드셨다 him 그분을 to be wisdom itself 지혜 그 자체가 되게.

he 그분은 made 만드셨다 us 우리를 pure 순전하고 and holy 거룩하게,

내가 거룩하니 너희도 거룩하라는 성취 불가능한? 명령을 실행구현하려 노력하는 분들이 참 많지만

이 불가능한 계명을 가능하게 하실 분은 오직 예수님 한 분이시므로 거룩하신 분 예수님께 연합되면

성전 기구에 피가 뿌려지면 거룩해지듯 불결한 죄인도 예수님의 거룩한 피로 거룩하게 되는 것이요

거룩하신 분을 가슴에 품은 사람들은 거룩하신 분의 임재 때문에 거룩한 성전/처소가 되기 때문이다

 

31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.”

“If you 너희가 want 원하면 to boast 자랑하기를, boast 자랑하라 only 오직 about the LORD 주님에 대해서만.”
