1 There was [a man /named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader //who was a Pharisee].

* 존재를 설명하는 관용어구 There was~'존재하다'에서 There는 허사이고 진주어는 be동사 뒤에 옴

- named Nicodemus : 형역 분사구, 이름불린, 니고데모라고
