이 세상 사람들이나 많은 기독인들까지도 행간 읽기는 독자의 권리라며 행간 읽기를 장려하는데

성경은 분명하게도 행간 읽기를 하지 말라고 선포한다

 

NLT는 글 줄 사이 여백에는 아무런 글도 쓰이지 않았으니 읽을 글이 없다 하고 (무색 잉크가 없으니?)

NIV는 이해 못 할 어떤 글도 쓰이지 않았다 하므로 구태여 글도 안 쓰인 행간을 읽을 필요 없다 하고

MESSAGE는 단도직입적으로 행간을 읽지 마라고 명령한다 (영어는 주어가 빠지면 명령문이 된다)

 

행간에 쓰인 글이 없는데도 마술적으로 읽어 내면 쓰여진 글 이상으로 가지 말라는 명령 위반도 된다

Do not go beyond what is written. (고전 4:6)

 

사람이 쓴 글이면 비록 정직하게 쓴 글이라도 불완전하기에 행간 읽기로 안 쓴 또는 못 쓴 글까지 읽어내서

작가의 글에 다 나타내지 못한 심정을 이해하고자 하나 상상 추가로 작가 글 오해는 따논당상된다

작자 본인이 글로 표현하지 못한 심정을 행간의 공백에서 정확하게 읽어 낸다는 것은 불가능한 것이

진화론자 아니면 無무에서 有유로, 돌에서 산 세포로, 공백을 글자로 재창조할 수 없기에 그렇고

상상을 현실로 만들 마술사가 아닌 이상 독자 상상을 작가의 현실로 만들지 못하니 헛일이요

(작가 자신도 자신의 상상을 현실로 못 만드는데 독자가 작가 대신한다는 건 어불성설이다)

행간 읽기로 인해 오해만 무성하여 가짜뉴스가 양산되니 세상이 자가당착의 대혼란에 빠지고

사람 사이에도 오해가 난무하여 쌈박질이 나오게 부추기는 것이 바로 이 행간읽기 현실이다

 

(행간 읽기는 영어로 out of context '문맥 탈선'이라는 표현과 유사하다)

 

말/글 하는 누구나 자기 말/글이 오해받기를 즐겨할 사람 하나도 없고 (본인도 예외 아님)

혹시 누가 한다면 죽기살기 이판사판 결사적으로 誤讀者 오독자와 쌈질을 벌여 자기 방어를 하고

심하면 고소까지도 가고 더 심하면 인생 도박도 하게 하는 악재가 행간 읽긴데 그걸 하라니 정신 나갔나?

 

내가 하면 깨끗하고 누가 하면 더러운 변개겨개 아전인수 이단공단'(以短攻短) 우이효지'(尤而效之) 면 몰라도

언제나 진리진실 사실현실 논리타당하신 말씀만 하시는 하나님께서는 하지 마라고 바울을 통해 하셨는데

행간 읽기를 하지 말라가 암시된 성경구절을 한두 구절 찾아보면 이해가 더 잘 되리라

When Peter saw him, he asked, "Lord, what about him?"

Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me."

What concern is it of yours?

안 죽게 한다한들 너랑 무슨 상관이냐?라는 말씀의 글자 사이사이에 무색 잉크로 어떤 글이 쓰였길래

요한이 죽지 않을 것이라는 비밀스러운(?) 말씀을 읽어 냈는지 기가 막힌데

행간 읽기가 이천여년 전에 이미 유행한 경청법/독서법이고 기독인 사이에 유행했다니 더 당혹스러우나

본인도 즐겨하면서 남이 하니 민망하다 하면 약도 없다는 그건  자기기만의 저주가 아닐까?

 

행간읽기가 저주의 마술이라 한다면 행간읽기 고수들의 독화술살이 날아들게 분명하지만

성경에 이미 하지 말라고 명시되어 있으니 바울과 변론하던지 성경의 저자이신 성신님과 해야지

나 같은 믿음도 지식도 변변찮은 일개 평신도와 논쟁해서 이겨봐야 별 볼 일이고 nothing doing or gaining

내 아멘찬성 동의서약을 받아봐야 내 말/견해/혜안/믿음대로 세상이 돌아가지 않으니 헛일이다

 

사실이지 행간 읽기는 인류 역사 구석구석에서 습관전통 관례적으로 행해져 오면서 온갖 오해를 유발해왔고

그 결과로 엄청난 재앙을 불러온 기록이 셀 수도 없이 많고 다양하지만

그중에서도 단연 돋보이는 해악거악 추악간악한 행간읽기는 에덴동산에 있었다

 

Don’t eat from it. The moment you eat from that tree, you’re dead. (창 2:17)
Don’t eat from it; don’t even touch it or you’ll die. (창 3:3)

You won’t die. God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you’ll see what’s really going on.

 You’ll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil. (창 3:4)

 

이브의 만지지도 말라는 말이 행간 읽기로 나온 말씀추가 결과지만 적어도 남편 아담이 들은 말을

뼈에 사무치게 경청하다 보니 만지지도 말자는 정성이 추가되었다는 행간 읽기(?)가 나오긴 하나

어쨌든 먹지 말아야 한다는 골자는 살아 있으니 그런대로 봐줄 만한 행간 읽기라 하겠으나

 

사탄이 한 행간 읽기는 그야말로 새 창조적 상상초월의 발로로 원 의미와 목적에 완판 역행판이라

거짓의 아비가 행간 읽기로 가짜 뉴스를 창출했다는 엄연한 증거라 하지 않을 수 없으니

행간 읽기는 사실 거짓 아비의 초월권적인 행태요 저주의 출처라 해도 심하지 않은 게

이런 사탄의 행간 읽기를 믿은 초대 부모로 인해 인류 전체가 저주에 빠진 결과를 유발한 때문이다

 

 인류 역사에 수많은 에덴 파괴 행간 읽기가 자행되어 가짜 역사가 기록된 것을 어느 정도 짐작이 가능하고

가짜도 믿으면 우선 듣기에 진짜로 돌변하니 거짓 아비가 판치는 세상에서는 자연스러운 일이라 하겠으나

믿음의 조상인 아브라함과 사라가 하나님의 약속의 말씀에서 행간 읽기로 읽어낸 이스마엘 약속은

구약시대에서도 이스라엘 자손이 약속의 땅에서 자멸파멸하는 결과를 가져왔었고

이스라엘을 바닷속에 쳐 넣자는 아랍 민족의 출처가 되었으니 이 어찌 행간 읽기를 저주로 받지 않으랴?

 

불신 이방인은 그렇다 쳐도 유신 선민자들의 행간읽기 유행은 수많은 종파와 교리와 사이비를 양산해 왔고

지금도 여전히 행간 읽기가 자행되고 장려되며 종교지도자가 읽어낸 비밀스러운 내용이 진짜 진리라며 나발 부니

가엾은 신자들의 믿음은 싹이 나오기도 전에 말라비틀어지고 자신의 행간 읽기도 덤으로 추가하니 설상가상인데

도대체 어떤 땅 사람이 행간읽기 도구로 하늘에 올라가 하나님의 속마음을 읽어낼 수가 있다는 것인가?

 

고전 2:11에 언급된 독심술은 하나님 마음은커녕 옆 사람 마음도 못 읽는다 했으니

독심술에 상응하는 행간 읽기는 수 에칠 가치도 없는 것이다

 

물론 글로 마음을 드러내도 마음을 완전히 표현할 수는 없는 노릇이기에 오해 유발의 행간읽기는 보다는

글에서 못 읽은 작가의 마음은 작가와 독자 사이에 질문답변 형식으로 소통을 기할 수 있는 게 현실이고

하나님께서도 성경말씀으로 하나님의 마음을 드러내셨지만 유한한 글로 무한하신 뜻을 다 천명할 수는 없으시나

아무도 할 수 없는 하나님 마음 읽기를 오직 성신님께서만 하실 수 있으며

 

성신님께서 사람의 마음에 내재하셔야 비로써 사람에게도 하나님의 마음을 이해할 수 있도록 설명해 줄 수 있으니

행간 읽기라는 무리수로 하나님의 마음을 상상초월로 읽어 내려다 기록된 말씀에 자기 견해를 더해 저주를 자초함보다

하나님 말씀을 더 깊이 더 알고자 하면 성신님께 물으면 구하라 그리하면 주실 것이라 하신 분께서 주시지 않을 리 없고

주시지 않으신다면 What's that to you? 너와 무슨 상관이냐라는 질문이 답이 될 수도 있는데 (요 21:22)

 

그게 아니면 다른 기독인이나 책을 통해서 깨달을 수도 있고 믿음이 더 자라 영안이 열리면 답이 보일 수도 있다 본다

 

허나 my opinion 내 견해는 내 견해에 불과하고 절대적 진리는 아니니 귀담아들을 필요는 없고

행간을 읽을지 말지는 행간을 읽지 마라 하신 하나님께 물어볼 일이라 하겠으나

먹지 말라 하신 명령에서 먹으라는 답을 읽어내면 필시 거짓 아비의 행간 읽기임이 자명하다 하겠다

Paul is saying here that the Bible is not written to say one thing when something else is really meant. Paul’s integrity and 

the integrity of the Bible as a whole is based on God always letting people know exactly where He stands on all matters.

We don't need to add anything to the Bible by "reading between the lines".
