Therefore, since we are surrounded /by such a great cloud of witnesses,
 let us throw off [everything //that hinders and the sin //that so easily entangles].

Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! 
So we must get rid of [everything //that slows us down], especially the sin //that just won’t let go. 

And we must be determined /to run the race //that is ahead of us. 
 We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete.

NIV는 복합문 하나와 단문 하나에 삽입어를 추가한 2 문장으로 문장을 구성하여 깔끔/수려해서 좋지만

영어 초보자에게는 이해하기가 쉽지 않고

CEV 는 복합문 2개와 단문 2개 모두 4 문장으로 구성하여 덜 깔끔/수려해 보이나

초보자가 한 번에 읽고 이해하기 쉬운 장점이 있으므로

영어 실력이 좋다면 NIV가 좋겠지만 초보자라면 CEV를 강추하는데

종종 덜 만족스러운 번역이 나오면 더 만족스러운 번역을 참고하면 금상첨화다
