Once a man is united /to God, how could he not live forever? 

[Good things as well as bad], you know, are caught /by a kind of infection.


If you want [to get warm] you must stand /near the fire:

if you want [to be wet] you must get /into the water.


If you want joy, power, peace, eternal life, you must get close to, or even into, the thing //that has them.


They are not a sort of prize //which God could, if He chose, just hand out /to anyone.


They are a great fountain of energy and beauty /spurting up at the very centre of reality.


If you are close to it, the spray will wet you: if you are not, you will remain dry.


Once a man is united to God, how could he not live /forever?

Once 일단 a man 사람이 is united 연합되면 to God 하나님께,

how 어떻게 could he 그가 not live 살지 않을까 forever 영원히? 


Good things 좋은 일들도 as well as bad 나쁜 일뿐만 아니라, you know 네가 알다시피,

are caught 사로잡힌다 by a kind 한 종류에 의해서 of infection 전염병의.


If 만약 you 당신이 want 원한다면 to get 되기를 warm 따듯하게

you 당신은 must stand 서야 한다 /near the fire 불 가까이:

if 만약 you 당신이 want 원하면 to be wet 젖기를 you 당신은 must get 들어가야 한다 /into the water 물속으로.


If 만약 you 당신이 want 원하면 joy 기쁨, power 힘, peace 평화, eternal life 영생을,

you 당신은 must get 닥아서야 한다 close 가까이 to, or even into 안으로조차 들어가야 한다,

the thing 그것에 that 그건 has 가진 them 그것들을.


They 그들은 are not 아니다 a sort 한 종류가 of prize 상품/경품의  //which 그건 God 하나님께서 could,

if 만약 He 그분께서 chose 선택하시면, just 단지 hand out 나누어주실 수 있으시다 /to anyone 누구에게나.

 

* 상품은 노력하여 일등한 자격자가 받지만 은혜는 자격도 노력도 없이 누구나 받을 수 있다

They 그것들은 are a great 크나 큰 fountain 원천이다 of energy 동력과 and beauty 美미의

spurting up 솟구쳐 나오는 at the very 바로 그 centre 중심에서 of reality 현실의.

If 만약 you 당신이 are close 가까이 있다면 to it 그것에게,

the spray 물보라가 will wet 적실 것이다 you 당신을:

if 만약 you 당신이 are not 가까이 없다면, you 당신은 will remain 남아 있을 것이다 dry 마른 상태로.

* 하나님께서 모든 동력과 미의 원천이시기에 가까이 접근하는 누구나 막강한 영향을 받겠지만

멀리 떨어져 있다면 마치 태양에서 멀리 떨어진 얼음덩어리 명왕성처럼 열량이 미미할 것이다

* 서울 가는 기차 안에 있다면 서울로 갈 것이 분명하듯 영원하신 그리스도 안에 있으면 영원히 산다
