From my earliest youth my enemies have persecuted me.
Let [all Israel] [repeat this]:

enemies have often attacked!

as if a farmer had plowed [long furrows].

예수님을 안 믿음으로 예수님께 속하지 않은 불신자는 죗값을 스스로 치러야 하기에 진짜 무섭다

he has cut [me] [free from the ropes of the ungodly].

“The Lord bless you;

* 주님 자신을 상징하는 주님의 이름을 언급한다는 것은 하나님께 대한 모든 것을 믿는 경외와 사랑의 표시이다

The name of the Lord is a Biblical expression for the whole character of God. 

The name of the Lord refers to God's person and character.

 

한국에서는 사람의 이름조차도 존경이든 아니든 함부로 언급하지 않기에 사회적 직책이나 명칭으로 대신하여

사장님/선생님으로 호칭하고 부득이 자기 부모님의 함자를 언급하면 조심시레 'ㄱ자, ㄴ자, ㄷ자입니다' 하면서

사람 위에 뛰어나시고 높으신 하나님의 이름인 예수님을 함부로 친구이름 부르듯 한다면 무존경/무경우 천박에

무식무뢰 무지몽매 오만방자 후안무치에 더한 신성모독 제3 계명 위반으로 심판을 자초하는 계명 파괴자가 된다

 

What exactly is forbidden by the third commandment? 제 3 계명이 금지하는 것은 정확히 무엇인가

 

The word vain (as it’s rendered in the ESV) can mean “empty,” “nothing,” “worthless,” or “to no good purpose.” 

We are forbidden, therefore, from taking the name of God

 (or taking up the name or bearing the name, as the phrase could be translated) in a manner that is wicked, worthless, 

or for wrong purposes.

 This doesn’t mean that we have to avoid the divine name altogether. 

The name YHWH (or Yahweh)—“the Lord,” in most translations—appears some seven thousand times in the Old Testament. 

We don’t need to be superstitious about saying his name. But we must not misuse it.
